I am a friend of Sgt John Beale. We used to work together at CCWA and his wife also works there. Sgt Beale was a very good man. He was a good co-worker, good friend, loving father, loving husband to his wife and a patriot. I am just so sad that I will not be able to see him again but I know that it is what he wanted to do for this country. My heart goes to his wife and kids.
I will miss you John and it was a great honor to have known you.
Thank you for being my brother’s friend. I am very proud of his commitment to duty and ultimately his sacrifice for the country, despite the unbearable pain of missing him.
Michael Beale
I am English, now living in Canada. I have just received a copy of the film that is doing the rounds, which was taken from the front of a Police car. It shows the convoy passing through various towns, as good folk stand and watch and pay homage. I wanted you to know that the film was sent to me from England, where it is being circulated, and that it will now be circulated by me to other locations around the world. In all humility, my family and I and all of our friends and colleagues send their regrets for this great loss. God Bless you all, the family and colleagues and fellow service people. May SS Beale rest in Peace, and may his family know that the world knows of him and his great sacrifice.
I also wanted to tell you that I just received the beautiful video taken from the front of a police car showing all of the wonderful people standing in honor of your brother. You really do lose faith in people with everything that is on the news each night. This surely did restore my faith. There are still good people out there. I am so very sorry for your loss. He certainly was and still is an American Hero.
“Lest I keep my complacent way I must remember somewhere out there a person died for me today. As long as there must be war, I ask and I must answer was I worth dying for?”
[Eleanor Roosevelt]
With great sorrow for our loss, deep pride and gratitude, I join you in praying Godspeed to these men. The only consolation I can have is knowing that they now serve in overwatch of you and your brothers in arms.
Thank you for such kind words.

I knew John from history classes at Clayton State. Being an Army veteran, and the same age as John, we always had lots to talk about. He left me his contact information when he left so that we could hook up when he came home. I guess, in a sense, I’ll be hooking up with him sooner than expected. I hope the family gives the Patriot Guard an opportunity to honor John. I will certainly stand ready to participate. My condolences to the family. John was a fun guy with a real sense of patriotism and duty. I know he’ll be missed. God speed John! *salute*

He was a great customer of ours at Big 10 Tires in McDonough. always great working on his car and talking with him. and he also lived next door to my brother. We all will miss him dearly. was nice to have everyone out on Thursday to honor him as he passed by his home for the last time..
God Bless Him, and his Family.
Today I stood for another mother’s son, a soldier’s wife, another HERO’s children, another HERO of us all…another one of America’s sons & daughters.
As a mom of a wounded soldier myself, and, having lost a loved one to war ( my cousin KIA Vietnam)…I know all too well “Freedom is NEVER free”.
“THANK YOU” is NEVER enough!
My heart goes out to the family & friends of SSGT John Beale…I only wish I could take away your pain.
I’d like to extend my deepest condolences & prayers for you all & this HERO, John…through song…written for another HERO, the loss of our son’s comrade while deployed in IRAQ, CPL John Paul Barta – KIA – Dec. 23, 2006.
May it touch your heart & soul & bring you some comfort during this very difficult time.
May God hold John in HIS loving arms forever & keep you in HIS tender care, until you meet again.
God be with you,
In HIS service,

“Hello” soldier … “No son, you don’t know my name.”
I just wanted to say … “THANK YOU”… and,
“Welcome Home”… from where you’ve been.
I just met your lovely wife, John
And, son … You have a real nice … family.
All your friends been telling stories, John
But, I’m sure … you’ve been listening.
Men like you are special, John
A cut above … the rest.
A HERO … in ALL our eyes,
You go on home now, son … get some rest.
( Spoken Prayer )
Not another soldier, Lord … Please God,
Not another one.
Not another mother or father, sister or brother, husband or wife,
Please, God … not another … mother’s son.
Let this be … ” The Last Goodbye ”
Please, Lord
Not another one.
( Chorus )
Not another soldier, Lord
Not another one.
Let this be … ” The Last Goodbye ”
Not another mother’s son.
Please, God

I didn’t know Sgt John Beale, Im no one, a wounded USMC Vietnam Vet. It hurts to see a brother veteran pay the ultimate price for God and Country. My condolences to his family. God bless him and I thank him for his service to our country.
