It was an uneventful evening and the 4th of July is already history. All of the colorful decorations at the DFAC have been removed and its business as usual.

Teammates cleaning 50 cal
Yesterday we had some fun shooting the weapons and more importantly improving our proficiency and familiarity. But of course after you shoot your weapons, then you have the task of cleaning them. Considering the size of the piles of brass casings, I knew the weapons were going to be dirty and a lot of carbon build-up would be present.

AF Captain cleaning M-240 assembly
As you can see by the pictures, everyone is helping to clean the weapon parts. My remaining teammates were cleaning the HMMVWs and preparing them for another mission.

Yours truly shooting M-240
Also yesterday I mentioned about shooting the M-240 from the standing position. My teammate recorded me on video and snapped a few still shots. I don’t recommend people try this at home.
